RE-1 is hosting a two day training of the PREPaRE curriculum (Prevent, Reaffirm, Evaluate, Provide and Respond, Examine) which focuses on Crisis Intervention and Recovery: The Roles of School-Based Mental Health Professionals. This program was prepared by NASP (National Association of School Psychologists). The PREPaRE training provides a specific examination of the school-based mental health professionals’ role and responsibilities with a special emphasis on crisis intervention and recovery. Members of the community and surrounding schools are invited to participate to develop skills that will allow community members to join together in the event of a significant crisis situation. The training will be held in the Sterling High School Library on August 12 and 13, 2008 from 8 a.m to 4 p.m. The cost of the training will be $100 (includes meals) for the two days and NJC credit will be offered.
