Senior Announcements can be ordered on Thursday, October 29, 2009 in main lobby from 7:30AM – 3:30PM

 

Sophomore Class Rings – Friday, October 30, 2009 in main lobby from 11:00AM to 1:00PM

 

Any junior or senior interested in participating in the CSU Math Day Thursday, November 5 should see Mrs. Meg Kugler (room 204).  

 

Fall Sport Athletes need to check out their lockers and return lock to Mrs. Schumacher or re-checkout locker if in a Winter Sport.

 

ATTENTION SENIORS:  Your senior picture is due for the yearbook by MONDAY, NOVEMBER 16, 2009.  If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Cartwright in room 251.

 

If you are interested in going on the next Washington DC/New York City trip, there will be an informational meeting for parents and students on Tuesday, October 27, 2009, at 6:30 in room 251.  If you have any questions, or would like more information, please see Ms. Cartwright or Ms. Curtis.

 

There is still time to order your 2009-2010 Tiger Yearbook.  See any yearbook staff member or Mrs. Cartwright for an order form as soon as possible.

 

ATHLETES : Turn in your Winter Sport Physicals and pay your fees by Friday, October 30, 2009.

 

ACTIVITIES

 

There will be a FCCLA  Asthma committee meeting today after school.

 

There will be an ALL Member FCCLA meeting tonight at 7:00AM in room 105. Information and sign up for STAR events will occur and a door prize will be awarded.

 

National Honor Society members will meet at 3:05PM on Wednesday, October 28th in the Library. Members need to bring their NHS notebooks and a pencil.

 

Cross Country Banquet – Monday, November 2nd in SHS Cafeteria at 5:15PM

 

Any NHS member interested in helping with the Special Olympic Bowling Tournament on October 30th needs to see Mr. Behrens.

Any juniors and seniors interested in participating in the CSU Math Day on Thursday, November 5, please see Mrs. Meg Kugler (room 204) sometime this week. 

 

Auto Tech Oyster Fry – Thursday, November 12th at NJC from 5:30 – 8:30PM. Can buy tickets from any Auto Tech Student.

COUNSELING

 

2009 College Fair & Financial Aid Workshop NJC Campus Tuesday, November 3, 2009:

6:30 – 7:00PM – Financial Aid Info – Tennant Art Gallery – assistance in funding a college education

7:30 – 8:30PM – Financial Aid Workshop – Bank of Colorado Event Center- Nearly 50 colleges and universities will be available for                you to explore

 

Sophomores and Juniors:  Highline Electric is going to sponsor a student to the National Rural Electric Youth Tour in Washington D.C., June 11-17, 2010.  Sophomore and Junior students are eligible for this all-expense paid trip if their parent/guardian is a member of Highline Electric Association.  Applications for the trip are available in the counseling office.  Students may also download the application from the Highline Electric website:  www.hea.coop  Deadline for applications is December 15, 2009. 

 

JUNIORS & SENIORS – There will be representatives here from the following colleges or universities:

University of Colorado – Colorado Springs will have a representative here on Wednesday, November 11th at 9:00 a.m.
